I have finally dared myself to open Facebook account and promote my handicrafts. Wish me luck.
Though I was resisting FB for a year thanks to my sis, I also opened account under Sandra Molnar (my maiden surname) to reconnect with friends from Montenegro. Can't decribe my happiness.
Now
for the last two months hubby was brainwashing me to re-do an old car-seat cover:

Sometimes I am postponing thins as long as I can, but since Lola starts to sit pretty firmly:

No room for raoming left and I had to start re-doing:

Tailoring and machine sewing took minimum of my time
but those strap holes had to be hand sewn
and that was total hassle to me, but at the end result is satisfying:

Also, must notify Olivia Newton John we have little herself in making:

Little Olivia found the way today to entertain Lola so I could knit:

(Never too early for Barbie's movie)
And on my needles right now - an order for child's size legwarmers:

Kids!!!!!!!(with angry tone)
On Monday Franciska didn't return from school. Hedera and I were waiting for her.
As minutes were passing by (we are like 8 minutes from school afoot) my anxiety was increasing.
At certain point I put Lola and Hedera in the car and started looking for her around village. Went to school to her teacher. Went to grocery shop.
After 15 minutes we went home and Franciska was there at out doorstep!
Like nothing happened!
I lost 5 years of my life!
I wanted to slam her down and beat the hell out of her!
But I was so happy seeing her standing there. And I couldn't move! All I felt at the end was huge headache.
Franciska is hard to understand. She has to be expirienced only then you can come to some conclusion. She has some sort of attention deficiency, also is pretty hyperactive, she can make me so angry I can't recognize myself
but at the same time she is probably the sweetest and most inocent child I've ever met!
She also loves everything I knit for her and she wears it proudly. And my latest knitwear for her was bulky scarf from soft acrylic yarn I got from Diana:

I think I've never knitted bulky item before!

And this scarf reminds me of tire tracks:

Also one pic I forgot po put in one of previous posts Franciska fell asleep among Lola's clothes (now Lola has her own wardrobe and bed is easier to approach to)

The same day Franciska gave me headache I received a package from Paula. We arranged little swap 2 years ago, but my parcele was little late.
In this post only few things from the package since I have sick Hedera in the house, Lola with running nose and hubby who is never present! (call me single Mom).
Cotton fabric leftover (I already have great idea of its use):

Two crocheting/knitting magazines (watch out cute blanket and vest):

And one (of two) onesie:

Yes, Lola is giant baby! Just ask my back!
P.S. I also received great yarn from Paula (pic sin next post), one leather coin purse and girls stickers!
We love you Paula!!!!!!!

If I have to pic kup one word only to describe Saturday meeting of Stvaraonica's members (and their crafty friends) it would be delightful, amazing, full cool, stunning, groovy, boozey,
What? That's more than a word?
Ofcourse it was more than a word since I had total blast and I need a dictionary to draw everything on my mind! And my mind (and heart) is totaly full of impression!
As you know I took Franciska with me, but also took Lidija (crafty pal with no blog of her own) and her son Borna. All four of us sattles down our bums on the bus:

100 minutes later we were in our Capital:

Since we got there pretty early we had to wait in the cold (that's why my nose is running) but once we entered the clus we stood impressed! What a clean, renovated, white space!!!!!
And all that thanks to Dea (don't know why, but many of us thought she was blond):

We had lots of chat:
(the real blond next to Dea, in blue sweater is Jana - owner of Stvaraonica)
Lots of crafting and idea exchanging:

Lidija tried to learn Franciska crocheting:

Kids were great:

We also had winner in unexistied Mom and daughter wearing hats category -Huana and her little wiggly cutey:

But everything good comes to its end so did meeting!
Lidija and Borna slept on the bus:

But Franciska and I were way to excited for any kind of sleep:

Few of you asked where did I find time for all that crafting. Well, one thing is most certain about me:
less time I have = more productive I am
Basically, those three girlies made me use every single moment of the day I have I use even a minute if I can. That's why I have few projects around my home so I could easily pick them when the air is clear"!
That's my routine these days.
And talking about projects, just this afternoon I completed a hat for a client. Simple stocking hat. Boring hat! But quick and easy to knit.

Hedera was posing (right after she told me one dude from her class had a crush in her you should see how shy she was telling me all that)

Since sometimes is hard to force, I mean make my kids to pose for blog purposes I used Hedera's situation and told her to hold the yarn I got from Diana:

Thank you honey Franciska will have a scarf from this! On big needles! Ultra speed knitting, I guess!
I, myself, am very excited at this moment. Why? Tomorrow I will attend craft meeting in Zagred!!!!!!! Dearest Jana and Dea are organazing it! Jana is owner of Stvaraonica, where we crafty freaks meet virtualy, and tomorrow we are gonna be as close as we can.
(happy dance)
Franciska is going along with me (since she is my most neglected girlie), plus my crafty pal Lidija and her son (possible son-in-law one day).
I will bring some booze and my lacey stole!
Before I go into the bathroom to dye my hair here is a quick look at Squeaky B progress:

I love my Squeaky! He rules!

And, dah, Lola approved my love to him!

I have many pics to share with you but since I need a nap I will be very short with my words.
Though took me a week to complete items for Marija here they are:

(Three crocheted coaters, two leather applications and one felt mobime phone holder)
Coasters are from Ravelry's Hestiasfire, felt from totaly addictive Wee Folk Art!
Since my hubby has serious issue with moths ('cause only his clothes are attacked by thoe bustards) every now and then I have to patch some of his wardrobe. The latest was vest I crocheted a lief and handsewed in over the hole!

Then I sewed oversized bag from my BIL's old trousers for his daughter:

And then came time for me! First I bought some gorgeous extra cheap cotton fabrics:

Crocheted me coasters:

A bawl:

And Re-did my tee:

(I crocheted this flower, them dyed flower surface with fabric dyer and tranfered in (twice) onto my tee! Love it!)
That's it must go!

Sue commented previous post starting with: Wow Sandra your living room looks so spacious. How do you keep from having clutter everywhere in there.
One word CLOSET!

Can't tell you what spacesaver this baby is we adore it!
Now, Lola turned 5 months yesterday:

Also, when she is on her back she always has her legs up:

And occasionally her Mom prowls in pic pardon her (Mom) she is totally enjoy her little bundle of joy.

Now, I am promising that there will be no Lola pics in next post (but can't guarantee for the one after next 'cause I will be knitting her winter hat)
Some of you might remember that this summer I got delightful parcelle from Jody and there was her own Alpaca handspun to be honest I was strugling with myself for weeks trying to decide what to whip up I mean, that alpaca won a prize in 2008!
Ok,to cut the lamentation I casted on on Sunday and finished it on Monday Super Simple Fingerless Mitts:

Though I started them when outside were 28°C the day after (when I finished them) temperature dropped and stopped on 8°C and I am telling you my hand are happy as a bug in the rug!
P.S. I still have some of the spun I wanna crochet something from it must think of what!

My eyes hurt from all those pics
Little contest is over and there were 2 right answers I was making a PILLOW CASE!
Marija and Heidi guessed correctly. I wrote their names on two little papers, put Lola on couch with belly down and letted her chew one. Marija you habe been chewed! Congratulations!
Send me your mailing address on sandraperhaj@yahoo.com and you'll get some (well, few) things I made. Hope you'll like it.
Now, though I ment to do this pillow case with lime/cream yarn and orange fabric backing
I changed my mind and turned to orange/cream yarn front and blue fabrick back so it could match living room:

Also decidedto go with Larksfoot stitches:

When there are no kids on couch, and all toys are put in place...
(OK, Hedera insisted to be in photo she bought herself new skinny jeans, dah!)
...little Larksfoot pillow fits perfectly, don't you think!

I was doubting between pillow and pillow case, actualy, but with three perky kids around it was much wiser to make pillow case since that way is easier to wash it.
Back of p. case is overlaping one:

And If there are anyone who would like to walk-this-way" (Adore all of Mel Brooks movies) here is what I did.
First cut two squares/rectangles (depending on shape of your crocheted front) for front and back of p. case (with seam allowance), and one rectangle (overlap) in fabric of backing:

Lay the face of overlap fabric on face of main front fabric and machine sew it to get this:

Then fold upper sides both of back fabric and overlap and make welts:

Fold back the overlap on the face of front fabric and over that back fabric (front and back face with their interiors) like this:

Sew starting from upper right corner, going down then to the left finishing up at the upper left corner!
Turn your work inside out, hand sew Larksfoot square/rectangle:

And your couch is happy! (at least till kids come down and start molesting it)
So, if someone read those instructions and wonders why are written so clumsy I have an perfect explanation I always look at the pic when stumble upon some tut and rearly read instructions, so now I am paying the price of my neglect! Now I know what to do next time I find something interestiong to make READ, READ, READ SANDRA!(damn, now I understand why hubby calls me Daffy)
No matter about my half-literacy one last pic to show the most important fact about this p. case Lola approved it!!!!!!

Who would said - knitting was boring to me!
Did you ever bore yourself to death with some knitting?
If do now I know how you must have felt!
I mean, when sis asked me to knit her 1 yo son a vest I thought it should be quick baby project
alas, only the day after I casted on
I thought I was going insane of boredom!
I had serious troubles staying awake after few minutes of knitting. Not to tell that I was looking for any itty-bitty reason to put my needles aside even for an hour! Like, catching" girls with camera in my craft room:

(a vest was in the blue bucket, beside Lola)
Or teasing Lola with cookie, though she is still on bottle only:

But, since there were no way out with vest I gathered all of my mental strenght and wore it away yesterday was the day when I have finally had a sigh of relief.

Boring knitting boring photoes!
But, though Jaksa came to my home this afternoon when day light was already terrible I had quite a fun chasing him around my courtyard hoping at least one shoot will be successfull.
Imagine my surprise finding out there are TWO almost decent ones:

For those who wonder why a little dude has pink vest ask my sis she picked that yarn from my stash!
Forgot to say that the moment I finished the vest I embraced Squeaky B and crocheted till 2AM this morning - that was simply something I needed!
Now - a little contest!
This are yarn and fabric (and pattern) for my next project.

All you have to do is to guess the project and you could win Little Jar of Surprise (no, not the altered one from previous post).
To make it easier the project can be put in Homedecor category - nothing wearable!
Good luck!

Autumn is definitely here. Just look at the pic taken half hour ago:

Yeah, girls off to school, Lola is napping and I have time to sip my morning coffee and write new post!
YesterdayI realised I turned into WIPs kind of crafter. I used to be one-project-at-the-time type in my previous life (well, few years ago)!
Though only one design on needles has its benefits I prefere my current way of expression few WIPs!
That way I can spread my unfinished project all over the house and pick them as I occure at particular part of my home!
For example, Squeaky B is in the kitchen and I take that 3mm hook almost every night into my hands and navigate through the endless wheels of pattern!
What a joy!
Also, two nights ago hubby layed his head close to my butt on couch while I was crocheting Squeaky B, so I used opportunuty to brag with blankie in making telling that my feet would never be cold again after it would be finished!
Boy, did he smiled or what! Can't remember he was smiling that hard withouth being drunk!
He said: When it is gonna be? In the year 2033?
Such a supportive hubby!
For the last 2 months I am unable to get rid off an mustard jar little jar, not big one! Somehow everytime I decide to put it in the garbage I change my mind!
So, yesterday I made a decision to altered little bustard and gave it a purpose.
I open the bottom drawer on my long desk (keep some napkins, bandanas and leftover leather leather is from one shoe factory run my Hedera's friend's parents):

Took one leather (coloure mustard!), crocheted 3 boucle flowers, added white buttons (probably from hubby's old shirt):

And an hour after:

(it took me whole hour since I have Lola on my chest in carrier)
Since I will have to wash jar from time to time I seamed leather strap with elastic thread so it could be removable:

Now, must go deal with UFOs!

On Friday early morning hubby went on some Brokeback construction industy games and I felt total bless knowing I woudn't have clean, cook
well pretend to do anything around the house!
So I used Friday to finish Franciska's hat.
Here is my frisky kid in two versions:
Geeky:

Fithy:

And few details:

Me happy, kid happy let's sing along!
On Friday late in the night Hedera was requesting a bag out of my old jeans. I was at the end of my strengths but since I promised her that bag a week ago there was no way out:

Three days before I sewed that bag she was hand sewing Pucca image:

And I have to say she did great job!
On Saturday morning Franciska was taking pics while I was attaching crocheted flowers on her hat:

Lovely, but blurry pic!
On Saturday afternoon I started feeling some dizziness, but it was gone within and hour.
On Sunday morning I took Hedera and her friend to local fair they both were selling handmade things at school booth:

On Sunday afternoon hubby came home I was expecting him late in the night bye, bye free afternoon!
On Sunday evening I was dreaming of casting on for nephew's vest, but instead spent night with hubby - celebrating his gold medal in soccer and bronze in volleyball (wink, wink).
On Monday morning, after hubby went to work and girls to school I casted on for nephew's vest:

On Monday afternoon I felt dizzy again few hours later I was on couch wrapped up in blanket with huge headache. Also every bone in my body hurted me, believe me I thought my hair hurted also!
On Thursday (today) morning I felt much better.
Well, looks like I have to slow down sometimes.
