OMG! This morning will remain in my mind forever! Happy blogging people, this very morning I found letter in mailbox! An usual letter at first glance, but when I noticed it came from UK and name on the back of envelope – I thought I was dreaming! I couldn't believed! I was happy!
After 13 years from our last encounter, I got a letter from the dearest girlfriend I ever had – Natalija!
We were going to elementary and one year of high school together!
Ain't life just amazing? And I still have that happy smile on my face!
Natalija is now living in UK, is married, has baby boy Harry and looks gorgeous!
Before I go down the memory lane, will shift to … well, what else but two shifts I've been knitting this week!
I am sooooo proud to announce not only I managed to knit all three Maple Seed Hats within deadline – I knitted them a day before deadline!!! I have even surprised myself how fast I can be when it is recquired from me!
Ofcourse, attic hasn't been clean, family ate nothing but scraps – but this Knitter was happy! Still is!
Three MSHs together (family picture):

This morning little receiver came with Mom and I got permission to post pics. She is so cute (and shy):

Now, next project was supposed to be cardi for Ana-Marija, but turned out she needs bolero with long sleeves! That information will make knitting shorter, and that's the main reason I am still bolero-swatchless. As soon as I finished this entry will start designing!
In matter of fact, I had great will to swatch yesterday night, but I was way to tired hold yarn and needles, but was just in the mood for some mindless sewing!
Errrr, problem – hubby was sleeping in bedroom and since it was late in the night I didn't have heart to disturb his sleep.
So, I decided to do something I haven't in a long time – yarn dyeing!
Last Easter Tatjana dyed her yarn with some egg dyers, so this Easter was my turn. 8 bags of dyer powder, 1L of water, rubber gloves, yarn … soak, soak, soak ... rub, rub, rub ... and hour later:

That is quite small hank, but will be enough for little felted bag!
And for conclusion of this entry – let me brag that Doroti really surprised me with a parcell:
Thank you, honey!

You are so talented. The hats and the yarn are beautiful. Lucky you, that package is really nice as well.
I just recently got reconnected with a couple of old friends from college. It's a great feeling, isn't it? |

Cute little model with the maple seed hat! And what a good job you did on the purple yarn...my only attempt at yarn dyeing was a huge failure. |

Your dyed yarn looks terrific! And I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again, those maple seed hats are really lovely! No wonder they're so popular! |

Oh I love the maple seed hats. What pattern is it, or is it your own design. I would love to knit one for my daughter too. Glad to hear that your best friend has stayed in touch after so long too, no wonder you are smiling. I cant wait to see how the dyed yarn turns out too when it is knitted up. |

Krasne su i kape, a i boje! Meni se osmoškolska frendica pojavila na vratima mog radnog mjesta nakon što se 22 godine nismo vidjele...stvarno te baci unatrag - pozitivno! Sretan ti Uskrs! |
