To conclude ...

I know, I know – have told I am thru with blogging for this year, but I didn't know that girls was gonna be invited to b-day party while we were in  Bjelovar! So, I am back and here with you!

And I wouldn't blogging if I don't have something to bother you with! My dearest happy blogging people, really don't know whether to cry or laugh!

Only few hours after we came in Bjelovar my hubby choked me with dilema:

Hubby: «Why kids always wanna sleep wih you since I am better parent? And just to know, when you come back I have a magazine about parenting for you!»

         Me: »???!!!!?????!!!!????!!!!?????!!!!» (all inside)

You know me, I have never said I am good parent, but also didn't know that parenting is soooo competing!

But I survived this «attack», had wonderful yarn/fabric shopping in Bjelovar, and only few hours before I had to left, my father pulled me aside to tell me with low voice:

Dad: »Are you blind? Don't you see how fat you are? Get together! From those like you (fat ones) hubbies are running away!!!!! Get in shape! Get together!»

And I started crying! (not in front of anyone). And I was crying all the time I was doing luggage!

But I have spirit, people! Almost unbreakable! Almost! So, right now, while kids are on b-party, after hubby gave me lesson in housekeeping, I am laughing (inside, ofcourse), 'cause all I can do now is to send all of my family there where sun doesn't shine and take knitting into my hands!

   See, unbreakable!

But, enough with whining! I wanna thanks for all of your great, funny and warm comments! I didn't know I was such «brave» gal doing nothing but watching Tori Spelling movie! Who would say!

   MJ, Newyear snog to you!

Now, pattern for mittens in two days! My cousin Mirna loved those mitts so much she took it! She wanted to pay for it, but since she really adores handknitted stuff, I asked for massage – and she gave me such massage I got black-and-blue marks! But it was great feeling!

Also, I crocheted her three layered flower:

All she has to do is to buy proper pin or just to sew it on something (bag, scarf, shirt,…)

I am in pretty fuss so I didn't take pics of yarn purchase, but have pic of popelin fabric I am gonna turn into curtain:

Adore that coloure. Will sew green ribbon on the edges, do little embroidery, maybe few small orange flowers,… All in all – must browse net little bit!

Since I am preasured to loose all surplus kilos, I have no alternative but to do that (since hubby even bought me a book), but I decided to treat me with something different from yarn or fabric – so I presented myself with lovelly scarf and ring:

You can tell I am childish, but I fell in love with both!

And that's really all for this year! I have to catch up with all your blogs, write mitts instructions, poisen hubby, loose weight, cry a little more and who knows, maybe rent some Tori Spelling movie!

Mitts that saved my mind!

Please, just shoot me! My brain is washed! I know x-mas is once a year, but can watch all those movies about Santa! Please, no more miracles! No more instant and sudden character make-overs! No more x-mas carols!

And you may tell noone is forcing me to watch movies, listen to the songs,… Ohhhh, you are so wrong! My kids, even my husband simply can't resist Santa, deers, slides,… and I can't just turn my back and go into some other room! Already we are rarely together!

Proof that my sanity is gone hapenned this morning; I was washing dishes when out of blue I turned to TV set and watched all 92 minutes of A Carol Christmas (with Tori Spelling) standing in one place! Not only I stood like I was saluting, but I was shading tears!

Just shoot me! But do it as quickly as possible!

So I am more than happy I forgot to write 6 weird things about me in previous post. MJ, thanks for letting me break this monotonous period!

Weird thing 1: since we are in x-mas period, let me reveal I first heard about x-mas in 1989 at the age of 15! Guess, that't the reason I am not so ecsatic about it!

Weird thing 2: I really wanna snog with female!

Weird thing 3: I daydream about getting Oscar for best original movie scenario!

Weird thing 4: Therefore, I wanna write a book!

Weird thing 5: While I was having forced neurosis, I was often slapping myself!

Weird thing 6: Although both my parent are Croats, I am telling people I am Montenegrian!

OK, this is not quite weird, but when I have to think about myself as weird person – nothing gets to my mind!

Happy blogging people, I am leaving for Bjelovar! Will be there about week with girls! So, I will be out of Internet for that period (did you notice how iften I used that word in this entry, although I am out of period) of time and won't be able to go to your bloggs! Shiff!

So, for the conclusion of this blogging year I have fingerless mittens to show you:

Cracked within 3 hours, pattern out of my head (I know, I know, those cables are on Besotted scarf), can't be simplier, fits perfectly, my arms are warm and I am happy as a clown!

If  there are interested ones, will write an instruction in next entry!

So, my dearest pals, the year has came to an end! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Fitted Rib Top

Almost! Happy blogging people, hubby almost took camera in front of my nose (to take pics of his buddies at annual party at work),but I was faster! I grabbed that gadget, took ribbed top, took kids and went at Ksenija's!

First, fitted rib top for Danijela is finished! That was quick knitting, but I stretched it due to some little knitting and sewing!

Second, Ksenija is posing because she is only skinny person (beside Danijela) I can count on!

Third, top is not blocked. I am leaving it to Danijela! It looks little wrinkled, but don't you dare nagging me about that. I really have so much craft activites going on in my life I really didn't have time to do blocking!

Front: Back:

Aside:  Upper:

So, this is fitted rib top with crocheted edges and 1/1 left cables! I am so happy it fits Ksenija perfectly – will Danijela too! Next week top and few other presents will be flying to U, S and A (as Borat would say)!

And since I really love knitting, also am aware that orders will not keep on coming throu all year- totally inspired by Peg, I will try charity knitting! Why not – after all I can always whip little hat, scarf or mittens!

Right now on my needles are wrist warmers for me! Must take care of my bones!

The day after x-mas, kids and I will go to Bjelovar! Three of us will probably be there till afte new year, but before leaving I will have little entry just to show warmers and send few doubts to Santa. I guess he will have more time for me after all presents are distibuted around the world!

Do you know that parcell sent to Sweden (from Croatia) comes within 6 days, and parcel sent to Serbia (Croatia and Serbia shares border!) travels 7 days!!!! All I can say – fucking amazing!

Why I am talking that to you? Because ex-Yugoslavia knitters/crafters swap spoilee is from Belgrade (the capital of Serbia) and  parcell took 7 days to come to her. But now when it came (big relief sigh), I can reveal she is Maya and this is what I made for her (this swap asked only for hand made things):

Felted bag and key-case.

Thanks elly-b for being swap hostess!

Copying Cathy and creating!

My dear happy blogging people – ain't it great to be gifted? Not gifted as having talent for something, but gufted as getting gift! Oh, totally out of blue… out of any coloure … today in early afternoon, postman yelled my surname (after all, we have two doorbells – turned out to be a big problem for him), I run downstairs and look:

From Gordana M from Zagreb! Not in a million years I could expected that! But x-mas card really moved me, 'cause Gordana wrote she bought that yarn for me because it reminded her of me!

Can't she be sweeter?

Thank you! THANK YOU!

Let's continue with yarn and knitting! About ribbed top for Danijela – soooo close to an end – any day now!

And while I am knitting top during nights, little knits have been creating during daylight! First I crocheted flower pin with tassels for Hedera's kindergarten teacher, but all pics I took was more than crappy so I crocheted another one, the klone, but without tassels:

Oh, boy, taking proper pic of that black creation was almost like mission impossible! I tried it outside, inside, in front of window, on couch, on armchair and at the end on artificial x-mas tree. But, believe my word, I almost froze trying to pic it outside!

Little black pin with lovelly button will be given to someone I can't tell – it would ruin surprise.

But after one surprise why not another one (again, can't tell for who)? So I knitted 6 petals flower pin:

About that flower here are the answers to spp and Cathy's questions: flower is knitted in one piece (thou you have to break yarn 5 times – but there are no seamings. Yihi!) and there are no wires to do curling – after I felted it I only shaped it a little with fingers and put it on radiator!

And talking about Cathy – this girl inspired me a lot with her sewn bags! You rocks, Cathy! So, after I got flanel fabrics from Ana-Marija:

I decided to bring sewing machine from bedroom (aka room wiht nooooooo sex at all) to living room and finally whip up something!

Though Cathy's bags are great, what really impressed me was tissue pouch she did!

(Did I say you rock?)

OK, I wasn't only inspired I tuned into maniac browsing for pouch pattern! I found simple one and tried it! Look:

But I wanted to sew the same as she did! Call me copyCathy:

And while hers are neat and perfect, those of mine are far away from neatness, but I love them and one day all sides of pouches will be parallel!

Cathy, are you proud of me?

After little sewing I moved on little-more-than-little-sewing, and in browsing zeal I stumbled upon this cutey-beauty bib and sewed one:

   Ribbon embroidery detail:

This bib is surpise present also!

Wow, this post was pictures heavy! And very coloureful! And I am ful of energy! And I got new orders this morning! And my hair is still fucking lovelly short! And there is still no sex in my life! And I bough all x-mas presents! And I love you all!

Head covers rant!

What a blessfull morning, happy blogging people! Though it is sunday, hubby is working! Now, that is real bless, but more important is that my kids woke up without forcing ME to get out of bed! And they had breakfast without forcing ME to prepare it! The most important – I was sleepimg till 1030!

Well, I found mess after waking, something like little Hiroshima look alike, but who cares when I have finally sleep as long as I needed!

And I needed that sleep because was knitting till 0330! When something gets me over – I can knit till I am over! And lickabel (Cathy , I did meant lick, not like) Kap took me all over!

Cold days have arrived, my hair is way too short for it, so normally I was looking for hat. Specially 'cause I had 70% wool yarn in my stash – two skeins only, just enough for cap project!

I wasn't searching long before I stumbled upon this cutey!

I casted on, I have been knitting on and eventually binded off!

But, happy blogging people, when my head was shapen in Mom's womb it wasn't meant for hats, caps, scarves,… NO! My head is anti-capish! Sniff! Plus I am wearing glasses so any kind of brim is out of question!

I have even tried brim aside:

But voices in my head was screaming «We're goinna die of laughing! Please, pretty please take it off!»

Must confess – I really like that Kap! I really was thrilled all the time of knitting! I specially like top:

But you don't know how annoying is to listen laugh of voices in your head! So I cut the brim and turn gorgeous Kap into hat! Just hat:

Next move on hat: turn it into beany with one or two fabric applications sewn by me!

And talking about applications – I did one felted for Ana-Marija's Mom (last week was her b-day):

I was thingking of pin, but left it as it is! Ana-Marija's Mom now needs hat for that!

Little bit of this, little bit of that

At this very moment of writing I was supposed to be at Ana-Marija's! But family involved again; MIL took car and went who knows where, and hubby is still at work!

Oh, I was sooo looking for those flanel fabrics, more buttons, ribbons … to be in my hands, to be taken care of!

So, when I figured out I was going nowhere I took frozen cookies from freezer, put them in oven and ate 3 of 10 in first 2 minutes! I needed that sugar – hypoglicemia here! But, cookies were best before TWO months ago, so if you don't hear from me within three days … you know I am either dead or in hospital!

(See, I can live on the edge!)

After these itsy-bitsy bad news, here are some good. Just let me say that my hair-dresser (Martina) has finally (stress on finally) cut my hair in style «almost bald». See:

Now you can cut yourself on my hair!

Another good news is that I finished scarf for my little buddy, best pal ever – Vedran (3):

Scarf is reversible and matches hat I knitter last month!

Yesterday afternoon, kids were on b-day party in inside playground «Bibo»! Oh boy, I have been knitting for three hours! And since it was b-day party I didn't have to watch my kids – just sipping my coffee and keeping my hands busy with needles!

After three hours Danijela's top progressed pretty nicely:

It is quick knitting, in round, no shaping and I can do it in front of only TV light!

Cold front has finally arrived here! Mittens, hats and scarves are obligatory! Happy blogging people I found hat I lick! Can't wait to start, finish and show it to you!

Swap goodies!

Robin - I don't know what I'm gonna do with flanel fabric. Pijama's pants are always winning solution!

Happy blogging people, this is gonna be the shortest entry in my bloggng history. Because pics of swap goodies I got from Gordana will tell you all:

 crocheted hat and bracelet

 drop stitch scarf

Trio was for me, it is all my size, but Gordana "did" only one mistake - it is pinkish and my vampyres can't resist that coloure!

Thank you, Gordana!

Great purchasing!

Thank you so much, happy blogging people, for kind comments on poncho! I really appiciate it! Also I am glad to find out I am not the only clumsy person in knitting world! So, if you wanna have good laughter, read good little story, please go to comments from previous post and search for Haidi's one – oh, she is really good!

Now, before I wake up and find out I am only dreaming let me brag that my kids were so good this weekend I was pinching myself every minute! And I didn't have to yell every other second!

Plus they were playing without asking me to «buy» anything from their «shop»! They simply letted me knit! And they hepled me dust:

And since I told you all that I guess next time I could appriciate time without «Mommy this… Mommy that…» will be for … hm, probably never or after they get marry (hope they will marry and go to very distant cities/villages)!

I took a day-breake-of-knitting after poncho! Mostly 'cause this attic was crying out for gooood, looong cleaning! You should see my microwave oven!!!! (glad you didn't!) Oh boy – its picture could easily be in dictionary under «Reason nr.3  why social service can take kids from mother»!

After attic was cleaned I started new, secret project:

It is for my knitter-from-exYugoslavia-swap spoilee!

And just in moment when I was knitting like hell Ana-Marija called to inform me about mega sale of buttons, zippers, ribbons, sponges,… in few words:everything I need and now I can get it for few pennies.

Nothing could stop me! I couldn't thing normally until I went there and got back with:

Everythin I bought was saling on kilos. Bought several zippers, but kids took them to «sell» them in their «shop». Also I found two cotton/elastin shirts for girls and I payed them only 2,5$ (both).

Ana-Marija was there before me so she has more buttons and ribbons for me! She notified me about flanel fabrics she also has for me!

She is one of rare reasons I'm  happy to be married to hubby (she is his cousin, plus I am her maid of honor!).

Although I can't show what I knitted for my swap pal before she gets it, I can't resist and here is a itsy-bitsy view:

Well, you don't have to be genious to guess what it is, but for few days you will see it in its full light! I am sending parcell tomorrow!

Poncho at last!

Happy blogging people, I am clumsy person! I am queen of clumsiness! Only during last two days I broke two plates, plus glass ot two! And I have been always that way – born with two left legs!

But when I tell you that this morning I locked carkeys in the car, second time this year – how would you call me?

   Don't bother, I'll tell – an idiot!

It's hard to face the truth, but someone has to do it!

But had luck, 'cause sis was at home, so she drove me to attic for spare key and return to the place of idiotism!

All family members are acquainted with that side of me, they like retelling «funny» stories I participated,… Once, on some extra expencive dishes presentation (organized by my aunt), the presenter told how one deep pot was specially designed to preventing dripping. She even chalenged one of us to try!

Can you guess how many people immediately looked my way? EVERYONE!!!!

I refused, 'cause it is OK to be idiot within your room walls, but this is not the way family should entertain themselves!

Now when you know something new about me, let us fill this 4-days-without-blogging gap! My dearest knitter I was totally occupied with poncho!

And poncho is finished! Preggo clinet came to pick it yesterday, but hubby took camera at work, because he and his BrokeBack Mountain buddies were having party! So I went this morning at preggo client's work to take inside pics (and locked carkey!).

It is hard to tell Natasa has only three months before going to hospital!

And those who were watching carefully could notice neck part of poncho is different!

Well, only wo days before Natasa had to come, I got that six sence «I can see wrong gauge» and decided to cut upper part and lost whole day with modification! And that's the only reason I am so exhausted and tired I can hardly talk normally!

But the best prise (beside being payed for poncho) is the fact Natasa was really surprised with final result – positivelly ofcourse!

Poncho is just slightly blocked, so she could get cm or two after she washes and blocks it properly!

Well, I have bunch of orders (among which is a coat for Natasa's 3yo daughter - one of most cutest kids I saw) so back to knitting! Plus Franciska's kindergarten friend Marijana is coming to play! Pancakes for all!
